Hsu, Vice Chair
Bea
Hsu is Vice President of Development for The Related Companies
of California. Related is a major real estate development
company specializing in infill development of affordable
and mixed-income housing, and commercial mixed-use projects.
Ms. Hsu is responsible for project management, business
development and government and community relations. Major
current projects include the Grand Avenue Project, a public
private partnership with the City and County of Los Angeles
to develop a mixed use project of 3.6 million square feet
including mixed income housing, retail and hotel uses
and a 16-acre public park in downtown Los Angeles; and
the Santa Monica Village Project, a public private partnership
with the Santa Monica Redevelopment Agency to develop
325 units of mixed income housing in the Santa Monica
Civic Center. |

Prior to joining the IDA Board, Ms. Hsu served as a senior advisor to Los Angeles City Councilmember Eric Garcetti with a focus on housing, redevelopment and
economic development policy. She has also served as a
policy advisor to then-California State Controller Kathleen
Connell. Ms. Hsu is a graduate of the Coro Fellowship
in Public Affairs and holds a BA from Yale University
in History and Political Science. |
